Meet our growing team!

Our founder and director Emma Fisher, has worked as a veterinary surgeon in the pet travel industry since 2012. Emma and her team are passionate about animal welfare and have extensive experience in general veterinary care, pet travel, and animal exportation.

What is an Official Veterinarian?

All our Vets hold Official Veterinarian (OV) status, meaning they have the necessary qualifications and expertise to assist you with overseas pet travel and animal exports. We are responsible for making sure pets and animals are ‘fit to travel’ and all of the necessary documentation and permits are in place. We work with official pet shipping agents and export companies, and can certify the required animal health certificates and export health certificates.

Emma graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1997. Sarah graduated in 2010 from the University of Porto in Portugal. Kristine Orlova MRCVS

Kristine graduated from the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies in 2019. Shortly after this, she moved to the United Kingdom and worked as an Official Veterinarian alongside Port Health and Border Force. Kristine became part of the Travel Vet team in January 2024. Outside of work, Kristine loves to spend time with her two cats, Seba, a British Shorthair and Lily, a Scottish Straight.

Jo Gibbs

Jo has always had a passion for working with animals. This started at the animal charity Blue Cross, where she worked for 16 years supporting the rehoming of pets, before joining Travel Vet in 2021, to continue a role where she can provide support to pets and pet parents. Jo enjoys being outdoors in nature, making memories with friends and family.

Sam Ridgwell

Sam has worked in the customer service industry since leaving school, and for the past 10 years, has been working within the animal rescue sector. Sam joined the Travel Vet team in January 2023 as Administrator. In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping fit with a 3 mile walk every evening and cooking up a feast in the kitchen.

Lauren Jackson

With a passion for animal welfare, Lauren brings extensive experience from the pet travel industry, where she honed her skills since 2016.
